Rummaging through my boxes looking for my Vallejo airbrush paints to paint my Leman Russ... I found this...
This is what was meant to become my Dark Elven warband for Mordheim.....
... a sign from the gods?
A small blog to share pictures and comments with my mentors and benefactors, showing them my progress in assembling and painting my armies for table top miniature games. The mighty armies of the Empire of Khador in Warmachine and the vast legions of the Imperial Guard in Warhammer 40K.

Knight Kommander Pask
The paint work looks horrible in the picture. With the naked eye, without the zooming in, he kinda looked acceptable to me.
The current aim still is to bring painted mini's to battle and command a painted army instead of the notorious "grey legions". Think Pask will do for the time being... might give him a rework later.

Rough shots of a finished Shadowsword
Yesterday I finished assembly of my Shadowsword Super Heavy Tank. I added a normal Leman Russ and some infantry for good measure... and you can only be amazed at the size of this monster.
Time to to come up with a colour scheme and get the airbrush out...

Koen's Birthday gift!
As I spoke about the gifts of Xavier, Kris en Steven in previous posts, it is only fair to show off with the birthday present I got from Koen as well.
Koen remembered that I am a huge Drizzt Do 'Urden fan. So as a birthday present, he offered me the Drow ranger he painted for the "Golden Goblin Paint Challenge 2010"... a most splendid gift. Thanks Koen!

a GIANT in the playground
Being at home on sick leave for 5 months and having your birthday during that time does have it's advantages. The Imperial Guard Shadowsword is a gift of my friends Kris and Steven. Thank you so much guys... you both know how much I love armor and tanks, but this huge gift is beyond imagination. I owe you guys!
And so I bravely started the assembly of an Imperial Guard Shadowsword. Far from complete, but here are two pictures to show how this project is advancing.
For good measure and to give you an idea of the size of this monster, I have put (an unpainted [or what did you expect]) Cadian guardsman next to the tank...

The Manticore has arrived...
My friend Xavier was so kind as to give me an Imperial Guard Manticore as a gift. Thanks my brother! I am more than pleased with this addition to my forces. What would my legions of infantry be without some heavy firepower to support them?
Assembly of this model went relatively well. Not too many pieces, easy construction. In stead of keeping track of fired rockets on a piece of paper I wanted a system where I could just remove fired rockets from the launch platform. Luckily some time ago, I had bought some small magnets from Komrad Kris. By putting a magnet in each rocket and placing one magnet on the carriage for each of the four rockets I am now able to just take the fired rocket from the model...
I know this is not done to perfection, but as I consider myself a noob and I am pleased with the result.

The first ever painted mini...
In late October last of year, I finished my first ever mini.
Supported by Kris... a (nearly) fully painted winterguard now stands as an example for his Komrads... hoping the rest of them will follow soon...
2011 a new year... a new attempt...
At the beginning of this new year, I am doing a cautious attempt to (re)launch my assembling and painting of minis for Warmachine and Warhammer 40K.
I am well-known to start projects and never finish them. Heaps of (good?) ideas... little or no execution...
Encouraged by my friends in the "Golden Goblin Gaming Group" in Hasselt I decided to revamp it all. Less time computer gaming, bye bye world of warcraft and hello Golden Goblins and miniature games.
Under the watchful eyes of Supreme Kommandant Kris, Space Wolf Chapter Master Koen and Warboss Steven. I am sure I will succeed :-)
Wish me luck!
